Description

Ashwell's Cottages is a house that has been converted into two cottages. It dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century. The structure is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain roof that is half hipped on the east side. The building is two storeys high and features a three-bay and chimney bay plan. There is a range of five 20th-century casement windows. To the west, there is a one-storey extension. The original chimney stack is made of red brick and has attached diagonal shafts.
