Description
Bridge House is a small house dating from the late 14th century, originally designed as an open hall. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a red plain tiled half hipped roof. The building has one storey and attics, with a three-window range of 20th-century casements. There are also 20th-century extensions to the north and south, along with three gabled dormers. A 16th-century red brick chimney stack, which has been rebuilt at the top, adds to the character of the house. Inside, the original frame is still visible, along with a late 16th-century inserted first floor in the open hall and the original crown post roof, which has a moulded base and capital.
