Description

This is a row of terraced tenements, built around 1850. The buildings are located on the west side of Alma Street in Wivenhoe. They are constructed of red brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern, with some properties featuring central and end pilasters. The row comprises numbers 20 to 28 (even). The front elevation features five six-panel doors, arranged in two pairs, each set within a stucco surround displaying a moulded entablature. Above the doors are six margin-barred sash windows on the first storey, and five similar windows on the ground storey, all set beneath keystoned segmental arches with exposed window boxes.
