Description
These are a group of circa 1840 tenements located on the west side of Alma Street, Wivenhoe. The buildings are constructed of gault brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern, with a slated roof and two gault chimney stacks. They are two storeys high, originally with a six-window range. The windows are sash windows with small panes, exposed window boxes, and segmental arches. There are three doors on the ground floor, two to the north, set within wooden cases and hooded. A shop window with 12 panes is located to the south, alongside four matching sash windows. The ground floor features straight arches, and all the sashes are hornless.
