Description

The barn located to the north of the barn at Oldhouse Farm, aligned east-west, dates from around 1700. It is a single-storey building framed in timber and features a thatched hip roof. The structure includes three tie-beams and two end-frames, with one stud positioned centrally in each bay. The walls are supported by zigzag bracing that is nailed to the top-plates and studs. The roof is made of elm, including the collar and purlins.
