Description

Little Simons is a 17th century cottage located on Old House Road in Great Horkesley. The building is timber framed and plastered, featuring a fly-hipped gambrel roof that is pegtiled. On the south slope of the roof, there are two flat-topped dormers with casement windows. A modern gabled porch is present, flanked by sets of three casements on both the left and right sides. The cottage has a square plan red brick chimney stack. Additionally, there is a larger two-storey red brick addition from around 1900 on the east side, which has a ridge and gabled roof topped with a central red brick chimney that has four diagonal shafts.
