Description

Lampitts Farmhouse is a building dating from around 1560 and the 17th century. It consists of two buildings joined in one long range, featuring six bays along with a chimney-bay and chimney stack. The structure is timber framed with plastered walls and a peg-tile roof. The east end has a first floor and includes haunched tenons, crown-posts, and a top plate with halved and bridled scarf joints. The west end was added in the 17th century and features a bladed scarf and a side purlin roof. The entire building has been renovated, and all windows are modern.
