Description

Green Acres is a 16th-century house situated on an L-plan. It is timber-framed and plastered, with exposed studs and no external bracing visible. The crosswing comprises two bays and has a hipped roof, with a gablet and one gabled dormer window in the return. The roof is covered with peg tiles. A small brick chimney stack is present on the wing roof, and a larger one is positioned against the end gable of the hall range. The ground-floor windows are a mixture of old and modern replacements. Most of the existing windows are leaded casements. The roof has side purlins. A brick extension has been added to the hall end of the house.
