Description
Old Hill House is a 18th-century building with a front elevation that features 15th-century framing and 17th-century additions. The front is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and has three windows across two storeys. It includes three gabled dormers and a ridged, gabled roof covered with peg tiles, along with red brick chimney stacks at each end gable. The ground storey has a central front door with a later gault brick porch; the door itself consists of six fielded panels set in a wide wooden case. The windows below have curved heads, are not gauged, and consist of pairs of 8-pane sashes in exposed boxes. The first storey has matching windows under straight heads. The building features eaves and troughing. A substantial 16th-century frame is present at the south of the front range, which was raised to create a first storey in the 17th century.
