Description

Rose Cottage is a 16th century house with an 18th century front elevation. It features a long range that is timber framed and plastered at the north end, pebble dashed in the center, and constructed of red brick in Flemish bond at the south end. The building stands two storeys high with a ridge and gable roof that is peg-tiled and has a modillion cornice. There are two chimney stacks and two pedimented front doors. The windows are a mix of modern types, including two pairs of hornless six-pane sashes on the south frontage. The rear elevation has black weatherboards in the center and on the north end.
