Description

Riverdale Cottage is a 18th-century house located on Aldham Ford Street. It is timber framed and plastered, consisting of two storeys with a range of three windows on the first storey. The upper floor features three pairs of 6-pane hornless sashes set in exposed boxes. On the ground floor, there is a front door made up of six fielded panels, accompanied by a Victorian porch. To the left and right of the door are pairs of 6-pane hornless sashes, and there is a semi-hexagonal bay window with a flat leaded roof and a wooden eaves cornice, which contains three pairs of horned 6-pane sashes. The roof is ridged and gabled, covered with peg tiles. The plan includes a brick rear extension on the left.
