Description

Fordstreet Bridge, built around 1800, spans the River Colne and features two round-arched spans constructed in red brick using English bond. The central spandrel includes a circular piercing, and the central pier is supported by semi-domical stone cutwaters. Recently, the land imposts have been widened with curved brick walls on both the east and west sides. The bridge has a modern concrete roadway topped with metal balustrading.
