Description
The Queen's Head Public House is a 16th century building that has been altered over time. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure. The front has a long range of five windows on the first storey, consisting of four eight-pane hornless sashes and one six-pane hornless sash in exposed boxes. The ground storey includes three tripartite sashes and two front doors set in wooden cases with flat leaded hoods. The plasterwork is marked to resemble ashlar. The roof is ridged and gabled, covered with machine-made tiles, and there are two chimney stacks located toward the south end. At the rear, there is a cross-wing and a lean-to roof on its return. Inside, 17th century panelling is now visible in the attic.
