Description
Nuthanger Farmhouse is a building that dates from the 17th century, with early and mid-19th century alterations. It features a long two-storey range with a taller wing at the west end from the middle period, and part of the original timber-frame construction is still visible. The building has irregularly placed windows and a tile roof that is half-hipped at the east end and has a catslide to the rear. The western end has hipped roofing with higher eaves. The front wall is rendered, while the other walls are made of red brick in Flemish and Monk bonds, with rubbed flat arches on the west wing. The windows include casements and sashes in the west wing. The centre of the front has a large window that separates two Tudor porches.
