Description
Highfields Farmhouse is a 17th century or earlier house that has been restored on the outside. It is timber framed and plastered, featuring a ridge and gambrel roof covered with peg tiles. The building has a long range with eaves and stands two storeys high. On the first storey, there are four modern wooden casement windows. The ground storey has a door on the right side and six casements of various types and sizes. There is a red brick chimney located near the center of the building, another small chimney at the left end, and a third red brick chimney on the extension at the right end, which has a ridged, gabled roof and peg tiles, along with an external oven on its end wall.
