Description
Fordham Place is a 18th century facade attached to an earlier house, featuring two parallel timber-framed ranges, each topped with a ridged and gabled roof covered in peg tiles. The rear range likely dates back to the medieval period. The front range showcases a pebble-dashed exterior with a parapet above a wooden cornice adorned with dentils. A central front door is set beneath a pediment that is decorated with patera and triglyphs, supported by square fielded pilasters. On the first storey, there are three sash windows, with matching windows on either side of the door on the ground storey, all set in exposed boxes and featuring glazing bars. The chimney stacks are located only on the rear range. There is also a modern single-storey extension with a flat roof to the west.
