Description
Rowses Farmhouse is a late 16th-century house located on the Great and Little Maldon Road in Wigborough. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a red plain tile roof. The original design featured a three-window front. The windows are now 20th-century casements with leaded lights. A lean-to extension exists at the west end and the rear of the building, as does a single-storey extension at the east end, both with red plain tile roofs. A central brick chimney stack is original but has been rebuilt at the top. Some of the original timber framing is exposed internally.
