Description
Woodhouse Farmhouse is an 18th century and earlier house located on Great Horkesley Coach Road. The building is fronted with Flemish bonded red brick and features a range of five sash windows without horns, along with a pedimented door positioned between the third and fourth windows. The first storey also has five matching windows, with a bricked-up recess above the door. The roofs are hipped and slated, topped with red tile bonnets. The overall plan is shaped like a 'U', with three gabled pegtiled wings at the rear, all of which have rendered walls. The entire structure has been renovated. Inside, there are Neo-classical fire surrounds and a ceiling with joists dating from around 1600 in the front range.
