Description

Number 1 and Old Post Office Cottage is a 17th-century house, later divided into three cottages. It is timber-framed and clad in painted weatherboarding, with a buff pantile roof. The building is one storey high with attics. A 17th-century chimney stack remains, though rebuilt towards the top. The front has three windows, which are double-hung, vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. There is a gabled porch, and four dormers with segmental heads and double-hung, vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. A lean-to addition extends from the rear.
