Description
The Angel Public House is located on Maldon Road at Heckford Bridge. Originally built as two houses, the southern section dates from the 17th century, while the northern section is from the 18th century. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof. It stands two storeys high and features a five-window range. The 18th-century double hung vertical sliding sashes have glazing bars, and there are two two-storey bay windows with matching sashes. The northern part of the building has a lower roof and a parapet wall. Red brick chimney stacks are present, and there is a lean-to structure at the rear.
