Description

South Lodge to Birch Hall is a mid-19th century lodge cottage constructed from grey gault brick and topped with a grey slate roof. Originally designed in a cruciform shape, it now features a modern extension at the rear. The building is a single storey and has double hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing in the margins. The central chimney stack has been rebuilt, and there is an Ionic portico supported by columns and featuring a pediment.
