Description

The Post Office Shop, located at Nos 79 and 81 on The Street in Little Waltham, is a 18th century timber-framed and plastered house, with weatherboarding on the ground floor at the south end. It has two storeys and features a three-window range with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. Number 79 has a small 20th-century shop front, while Number 81 has a six-panel door topped with a small hood supported by shaped brackets. The roof is tiled and has a coved eaves cornice, with nipped ends at the north and south. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 77 to 83 (odd), Nos 84 to 94 (even), and The Congregational Church.
