Description

Yew Trees is a 17th century timber-framed and plastered house that was refronted in the 18th century. The front displays remnants of original pargetting, and there is some weatherboarding on the ground floor. The house has two storeys and features a two-window range with casement windows. At the north end, there is a 19th century shop front with a concave roofed canopy. A painted brick wing extends to the rear at the south end, and a stable wing is set back at the north end. The roof is tiled. Inside, there are some exposed timber-framing and ceiling beams. Yew Trees is part of a group that includes Nos 77 to 83 (odd), Nos 84 to 94 (even), and The Congregational Church.
