Description

This is a 15th-century timber-framed and plastered hall house located in Little Waltham. Originally, it had projecting cross wings at both the north and south ends, although the south wing has since been demolished. A floor was inserted into the main hall block during the 17th century. The north cross wing is jettied at the upper storey. The building is two storeys high in the cross wing section and one storey with attics in the main block. Modern casement windows with lattice leaded lights have been added. The roof is thatched and features two dormers.
