Description
The Angel Inn is a 15th-century timber-framed and plastered hall house that has undergone significant alterations in the 17th century and later. It was renovated in the 20th century, featuring decorative pargetted patterns. Originally, the building had cross wings at both the north and south ends; the north cross wing still exists, while the south wing has been integrated into the main block's roof. The north wing is two storeys tall, while the main block has one storey and attics. The first-storey windows are casements with glazing bars, and the ground-storey windows are double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The north wing features a large ground-storey bay window, and the main block has two smaller bay windows. The roof is tiled and includes three gabled dormer windows, along with an old chimney stack on the north wing. Inside the main block, part of the space has been opened up to reveal the crown posts of the hall roof.
