Description
The Kings Arms Inn is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered house that has been altered in the 18th century and later renovated in the 20th century. The timber framing is exposed on the first storey. The building has two storeys and features a four-window range with three-light casements that have leaded lights on the first storey, along with three 19th century bay windows on the ground storey. A large external chimney stack was added in the 20th century at the north end, designed in a Tudor style with diaper pattern brickwork. The roof is tiled. Inside, the building retains exposed timber-framing, ceiling beams, and joists. The Kings Arms Inn is part of a group that includes the Church of St Mary the Virgin, The Vineries, Broomfields, and Nos 9 to 15 (odd) known as Woolards Cottages on Church Green.
