Description
The Well House is a late 16th-century timber-framed and plastered house with cross wings at the north and south ends, and modern additions to the rear. The north wing is jettied on the first storey. The wings are two storeys high, while the central block is one storey with attics. The front facade has a three-window range, featuring double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The south wing includes a three-light window on the ground storey. The roof is tiled, with a gabled dormer window in the centre block. The interior features exposed ceiling beams and joists. An original chimney stack is located at the south end, characterized by offsets and two hexagonal shafts.
