Description

Butlers is a late 18th-century house that features a timber frame and plastered exterior, now covered in roughcast. It has a parapet and a cornice with wool modillions. The house is believed to have been constructed in the latter part of the 18th century by the Reverend T White. It stands two storeys high and has a seven-window range, with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. The northern end of the round storey has a 20th-century bay window. The central doorway is topped with a semi-circular fanlight and is framed by a Roman Doric doorcase, which includes plain columns, segments of a triglyph frieze, and a cornice. The roof is hipped and the floor is tiled.
