Description
Honey Hall is a 15th-century timber-framed and plastered hall house located on Nayland Road, Leavenheath, with cross wings extending to the north and south. In the 16th or 17th century, a floor and fireplaces were inserted into the main hall. The cross wings feature jettied upper storeys on the west front, supported by four curved brackets. The west front retains remnants of decorative panel pargeting. The house is two storeys high, with predominantly five- and four-light leaded casement windows. A bay window projects from the south cross wing under the jetty. Inside, original timber framing is exposed. There's also an original hall screen wall, featuring arches and a blocked arched doorway. The roof is tiled with old tiles.
