Description

Foxes Maltings is a timber-framed and plastered house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, located on the west side of Little Waltham Main Road, Blasford Hill. The house has gables at each end of the front, and was renovated in the 20th century. Some timber framing is exposed in the south gable. It is two storeys high, with a window arrangement of 1:2:1. Most windows are 20th-century casements with lattice leaded lights, although some older windows remain. The roof is tiled, and the central block has a wooden eaves cornice. There are five gables at the rear. Foxes Maltings forms a group with Thorley's Farmhouse, Glenmore, Thorley's Cottage, Laburnum Cottage, the Off Licence Store, Runnymede Cottage, and Runnymede.
