Description

Nos 16 and 17 High Street is a 19th-century building made of grey gault brick, standing three stories tall. It features a parapet and three flat-topped dormer windows, each with pairs of 8-pane casements. The front elevation has three recessed bays with segmental round heads, and there is a similar arched through-passage at the center of the ground floor. The original windows are located in the two southern bays and consist of pairs of 8-pane sashes. The ground floor has modern shop fronts. The roof is a mansard style, covered with slate, and there is one chimney stack that is integral with the south wall.
