Description

96 High Street is a building dating from around 1800, constructed of grey gault brick in Flemish bond. It stands three storeys tall with attics beneath a mansard roof and features a three-window range. All windows above the ground floor are original, consisting of double hung sashes with marginal lights. The ground floor at the north end has an Ionic portico supported by fluted columns and an entablature. There is one centrally placed double-width dormer window with a flat top and original sash windows. The building has a rectangular plan with two chimney stacks on the end walls and a grey slated gambrel roof.
