Description

The barn south-west of Lordship Farm is a notable structure dating from the late 15th century to early 16th century, approximately between 1490 and 1500. It features a six-bay design, constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with a tiled roof. There are two gabled entrances on the north side and one on the south side. The braced tie beams support crown posts that are connected with two-way braces and a collar purlin. The barn's lateral stability is provided by arched shore timbers located in the aisles.
