Description

Nos 48 and 50 on The Green are early 19th century red brick houses featuring stucco dressings and rusticated quoins. No 48 has been faced with cement rendering. The buildings are two storeys high and have a three-to-one window arrangement, with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars, all set in stuccoed rusticated surrounds. No 48 also features a 20th-century shop front on the ground floor. The roof is slate, hipped at both the east and west ends, and has a paired bracketed eaves soffit. The front of the property is protected by 19th-century spearhead railings. These buildings are part of a group of listed structures around The Green, which includes several others of local interest.
