Description

The footbridge over the River Can, located north of and leading to Seymour Street, likely dates from the late 19th century. It features a graceful single semi-elliptical arch that springs from an outswept stone abutment to the north. The bridge has open handrails with a square section and bulbous balusters, which may be made of artificial stone. Each rail includes central plain panels. Late 19th-century maps indicate that a bridge has existed in this location.
