No. 28 on Sportsman's Lane is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It has a timber frame and is plastered, featuring a 20th-century dado of brick laid in stretcher bond. The roof is covered with handmade red clay tiles. The house has three bays facing southwest and includes a central stack, creating a lobby-entrance. There is a 20th-century rear extension. The building is two storeys high, with two 20th-century casement windows on the ground floor and two additional casement windows in half-dormers on the first floor. The entrance features a 19th-century half-glazed door.
