Description
Nos 121 and 123 on Newland Street is a 17th-century building that features a timber frame and plaster exterior. Originally designed in an L-shaped plan, it was modified in the 18th century when a red brick front was added. The building now consists of two tenements and has two storeys with cellars. The northwest front has a three-window range, while the southwest front has a two-window range, both featuring double-hung sash windows with glazing bars set in plain reveals and topped with segmental brick arched heads. There are two semi-circular arched doorways, each with a semi-circular fanlight, accessed by stone steps. The roof is tiled and hipped at the southwest end. Nos 117 to 129 (odd) are part of a group with No 118 and Nos 124 to 128 (even).
