Description
Beau Manor Old Mill House is a large brick house built in the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The building is now painted and consists of two storeys, attics, and cellars. The north-east front features a five-window range, while the south-east front has a four-window range, both with early 19th-century double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars set in flush cased frames with segmental arched heads. The north-east front includes a central six-panel door, with the upper panels glazed, set within a wooden doorcase that has fluted Doric pilasters, panelled reveals, and a dentilled pediment. The roof is tiled and hipped on the south-east front, featuring a wooden eaves cornice. There are five gabled dormers on the north-east front and two gabled dormers on the south-east front. The building was formerly a mill house.
