Description
Grubb's Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on the east side of Church End in Shalford. It features a timber frame with a plastered exterior and a thatched roof. The cottage has three bays facing northwest and includes an axial stack. There is a 19th-century single-storey extension on the right side, which has an end stack, and a 20th-century single-storey extension at the rear with a flat roof. The building is one storey high with attics, and it has three 19th-century casement windows, along with two additional casements in swept dormers. A 20th-century door is set in a gabled porch, and the roof is half-hipped at both ends. A London Assurance firemark is attached to the front wall.
