Description
The barn at Borley Lodge Farm is a 16th-century structure that was formerly a house. It is timber framed, with sections that are weatherboarded and plastered. The roof is made of corrugated iron and red pantiles. Originally, it was a three-bay house featuring an end wall jetty and lean-to extensions on both the east and west sides. The barn retains its original crown post roof, although the pitch has been reduced. Notable architectural features include unjowled posts, arched wall bracing, original windows, and an arched door head. Inside, there are remnants of original ox blood decoration on the frame.
