Description

The outbuilding at Borley Lodge Farm is a former house dating from the 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, featuring a gabled asbestos roof. This small structure has three bays, with jowled posts and arch-braced tie beams, along with numerous door and window openings. Originally, it consisted of one bay on the first floor. The original cladding, which is mostly still in place, consists of vertical boards fixed to horizontal rails that are notched into the studs. The top plate has halved and bladed scarfs.
