Description

Cart lodge, approximately 25 metres south-east of Place House, dates from the early 19th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, with a roof that is boarded with softwood and clad partly in slate and partly in handmade red clay pantiles. The structure has three bays aligned north-west to south-east and is open to the north-east. This cart lodge is part of a complete group of farm buildings within the village, making it a rare survival. It is listed for its group value.
