Description

This barn, located approximately 90 metres west of Great Slampseys, dates from the 15th to 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, featuring a roof clad in corrugated iron that is half hipped to the left with a gablet. The barn has a gabled midstrey with double vertically boarded doors, two aisles, and six bays. Inside, there is a two-armed crown post roof with arched braces supporting the tie beams. The structure incorporates much re-used medieval timber.
