Description
The Round House is a cottage ornè dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with a thatched roof and a hexagonal plan featuring a central stack. There is a single-storey lean-to extension with a corrugated iron roof on the northwest side. The building has two storeys and a plain boarded door with a two-centred head facing south, which is sheltered by a late 19th-century tiled gabled porch that has scalloped bargeboards and a finial. Each of the four sides features 20th-century reproduction Gothic casements on both floors, including one above the door, all with tracery and diamond leading.
