Description
This barn, located approximately 10 metres south-east of Warren Farm Cottage, dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, with a roof made of corrugated asbestos. The barn consists of five bays arranged in a north-east to south-west orientation and features a midstrey on the north-west side. There are lean-to extensions on either side of the midstrey. The building sits on a sloping site, with base walls made of red brick in English bond at the north-east end, which are mostly original. The roof of the midstrey is hipped, and the structure includes a pegged hardwood frame with primary straight bracing in the walls and a clasped purlin roof. This barn is included for its group value.
