Description

Blakelands is a late 16th-century timber-framed and plastered house. The front, facing south, has an upper storey that projects out, supported by exposed joists. Most of the windows are casements, although one ground-floor window is a horizontal sliding sash window with glazing bars. The north and west sides of the house have 19th-century additions. The house was formerly known as Stanford Farmhouse and was located on Queenborough Lane.
