Description

This is a house, dating from the early 16th century or earlier, which is now used as a dental workshop. It is part of a former open hall house, with the remainder of the original structure having been demolished. The surviving section is a crosswing, constructed using timber framing and now rendered with plaster. The roof is covered with handmade red plain tiles and 20th-century artificial tiles. The crosswing juts out over the street. A truncated external chimney stack is positioned on the right side. Rear extensions of various dates have been added. The house is two storeys high. On the ground floor is a 20th-century shop window. The first floor has one late 19th or early 20th century sash window. A 20th-century glazed door provides access.
