Description
No. 67 High Street is a house dating from the mid-16th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It features a timber frame with a facade of painted brick laid in Flemish bond, while the rest of the building is plastered. The roof is covered with handmade red plain tiles. The house has three bays and faces south, with two stacks at the rear. It is two storeys tall and has a cellar, which is likely original. The front has a three-window range of early 19th-century sash windows with 16:12:16 lights. The central entrance is a six-panel door, with the top two panels glazed. There are gauged brick arches with segmental soffits above the ground-floor openings. The original timber frame is still visible, featuring a long jetty that is enclosed by the brick facade, and it has a crownpost roof.
