Description

A house, dating to circa 1500, with early 17th-century alterations and remnants of a 14th-century house incorporated into the rear wing. The building is now two houses and a workshop. It is timber-framed and has been plastered, with a roof of handmade red plain tiles. A long jetty extends to the street, now underbuilt. A rear stack was constructed around 1600, and a central stack dates to the early 17th century. The building is two storeys high. The ground floor has three early 19th-century sash windows, each with 20 lights and crown glass. The first floor of number 94 features two mid-19th-century sash windows with marginal lights, while number 96 has two early 19th-century sashes with 16 lights. Two 19th-century doorcases are present, each with pilasters and broken pediments, and both include three steps; number 94 also has iron handrails. A small, flat doorcase provides access to a passage entry. There is a gablet hip at the right end of the building. Internal timber framing is visible.
