Description
Holmwood Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 16th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a timber frame that is plastered, with some areas of plastered brick, and is roofed with handmade red plain tiles. The building has a double range that faces southeast, with internal end stacks in the front range. There is a rear wing extending from the right end, which has internal stacks at the junction and at the end. The farmhouse is two storeys high, with an additional one storey in the attics. The front has a three-window range of 19th-century sashes with marginal lights, and a central door topped with a fanlight. The northeast elevation displays a two-window range of similar sashes, an 18th-century panelled door, and a simple pediment head. The front range includes a central passage.
